Lead Service Line Inventory

Letters are going out to McCallsburg residents who have NOT done the Iowa DNR mandated Lead Service Line Inventory. Most of you either have a copper line, a plastic line, or a galvanized line but we need confirmation. If your house was built prior to 1988, there’s a chance you could have a lead service line. The city is now required to do an inventory on these lines.

We ask that you return your letter or let us know no later than September 27th. If we do not hear from you by this date, you will risk interruption of service. If you have any questions or need help determining what kind of pipe you have please let us know by either stopping in City Hall, calling 515-434-2242 or emailing us at mcburg@netins.net.

If you do not receive a letter we already know what your service line is. Thank you for your cooperation
